Epilog

No 20th century musical group or individual has sustained a greater impact on the world than the four lads with working class backgrounds from Liverpool, England. Now more than 44 years after they first played together in the Cavern on August 22, 1962, they are affectionately remembered not only for their musical contributions but for their charm, wit and charisma. The Beatles remain unparalleled, unequalled, unmatched. They are quick to credit such legendary greats as Roy Orbison, Buddy Holly and Elvis Presley for their influence, but The Beatles have inspired countless more than any of those heroes ever dreamed. The world is changed. The world is still fascinated, even intoxicated with Beatlemania. The press still chronicles every word. Cameras record their every move. Hair styles, clothing, art, merchandising, packaging, and recording techniques all tilted a generation and continues to inspire a new collection of fans born after The Beatles exploded on the popular music scene. John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr together left a gift and legacy of matchless influence. The "breakup" and subsequent deaths of John and George could not retard the superlative momentum they had set in motion. Their music, said to have split a gap between generations, now ironically bridges that gap. Hence, this site is dedicated in preserving the memories The Beatles gave to each of us and to humbly attempt to present their accomplishments. View a list of their achievements here.
